Food & Nutrition

Dear Swimmers and Parents

As we start a new season and many of you return from your summer holidays and well deserved rests, it is a perfect time to consider and reflect on all aspects of your training. One of the most important things to get right is maintaining a healthy diet that allows you as swimmers to perform to the best of your capabilities both in training and at competitions.

Attached are 3 very useful documents produced by British Swimming on how to eat well for training days, rest days and competition days. The documents provide some good guidance and tips especially for those eating well on long competition days.

I hope you find these documents useful and if any parent or swimmer has any questions on nutrition please do not hesitate to ask me or any of the coaching team.

Regards

Chris
