Redditch Swimming Club is a thriving competitive swimming club that celebrated its 125 year anniversary in 2023. We were voted best Swimming Club in the West Midlands Region in 2023 and were a finalist in the National Swimming Club of the Year 2023 awards.
We pride ourselves on our achievement across all our squads and are proud to have a thriving Learn to Swim section and a Competitive Squad structure that includes county, regional and national swimmers of all ages.

Lead Development Squad Swimming Coach |
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced coach to lead our Development Squads. The successful coach will lead our younger competitive swimmers. The role will also include working with our other age group squads to help cover leave and also gain an understanding of the program, with the potential to lead on a performance squad in the future. The successful candidate will report directly to the head coach and work closely with all members of the coaching team. Learn to Swim Coordinator |
Our Learn to Swim section is thriving. Children from the age of 4 are taken under our supervision and taught to swim to a high standard in accordance with Swim England Performance criteria. Our Learn to Swim swimmers that show talent and determination progress to our competitive squads and will be able to take part in galas both at Abbey Stadium and further afield throughout the year. We are looking for a suitably qualified Learn to Swim Coordinator to lead this team of swimmers as well as supervise, lead and mentor our group of Level 1 and Level 2 teachers who ably assist in bringing our Learn to Swim children through the approved Swim England levels and qualifications. Coaches and Teachers |
We are looking to recruit additional coaches and teachers who have a passion for swimming, a flair in delivering sessions alongside a caring disposition to join our team. We are looking for level 1 and level 2 coaches to work as part of the coaching team for our competitive squads as well as level 1 and level 2 swim teachers who are able to run regular sessions as well as teach via a cover rota to aid capacity within our Learn to Swim sessions. Tomorrow, we say Bon Voyage and good luck to Caitlin Chance as she leaves us to volunteer in Tanzania for a month, before travelling and then off to Cardiff University.
Caitlin has been a member of RSC for many years as a competitive swimmer. At the end of lockdown became a qualified teacher and has been dedicated to the Learn to Swim Program here at RSC. Caitlin is loved by all those that she has trained and competed with and especially those who she has taught. She will be very much missed by all of the team.
We wish Caitlin the very best and look forward to hearing about her adventures. - 04 Mar 2024Success at World Masters Competition
Last week, Paul Wilkes ( our Club Captain ) returned from the World Masters Championships in Doha. He was competing in the Butterfly events. On his birthday, he raced in the 100 fly, where he finished in a fantastic 5th place with a time of 58.44s. Later on in the competition, he competed in the 200 fly event where he won a silver medal with a time of 2:10.28. Both of his swims also won him new British Records in these events in his age group.

Worcestershire take back the Three County Gala Trophy
After loosing the trophy to Gloucestershire last year, the Worcester County team swam their hearts out yesterday in Wolverhampton. Ten swimmers from Redditch were selected to join Jon in the bid to win back the Three County Trophy.

As RSC celebrated 125years, it hosted and supported some Redditch First Schools in the first gala for several years. Moon's Moat were proud to meet the Chairman this afternoon and be supported by some of our amazing young adults. RSC are massively proud of the part you all played today, Thank you!
Spirits were high back at school and the afternoon was described as ''The best day ever''.

A terrific performance by all the swimmers who took part in today's final but when it came to it, Redditch took the lead and won the gala by 3 points. This puts Redditch at the top of the Winter League for the 2nd year running.
