Success at World Masters Competition
04 Mar 2024
Last week, Paul Wilkes ( our Club Captain ) returned from the World Masters Championships in Doha. He was competing in the Butterfly events. On his birthday, he raced in the 100 fly, where he finished in a fantastic 5th place with a time of 58.44s. Later on in the competition, he competed in the 200 fly event where he won a silver medal with a time of 2:10.28. Both of his swims also won him new British Records in these events in his age group.
He returned to training last week to a 'guard of honour' by a very proud home club.
