We have a World Champion at RSC - Natalie Hatfield - WORLD Biathle CHAMPION

Congratulations to Natalie Hatfield.
Natalie took part in the Biathle & Triathle World Championships in St Petersburg, Florida, USA over half term.
She qualified to represent GB in both the Biathle and Triathle, each a Modern Pentathlon event.
On Thursday 24th, Natalie took part in the Biathle mixed relay, with her partner Daniel. Natalie managed to hand over in first place, with Daniel extending the lead, they sealed the gold medal.
Then, Saturday 26th, Natalie took part in the individual Triathle event (shoot/swim/run repeated 4 times) and she managed to come in 2nd place for the silver medal. Thanks to her team mates finishing 4th and 7th, the three of them managed to secure the gold team medal.
Sunday 27 October was the Biathle individual event. Natalie ran a fantastic race, which although nail biting for the spectator, saw her come in first as World Champion. Again, the team of 3 managed to secure the gold team medal as well, finishing individually 1st, 5th and 8th.
Sunday was also Natalie’s 16th Birthday and so it was the best Birthday present she could have asked for.
Huge WELL DONE to Natalie from all at RSC - a great achievement and brilliant inspiration to all our swimmers.

Last week, Paul Wilkes ( our Club Captain ) returned from the World Masters Championships in Doha. He was competing in the Butterfly events. On his birthday, he raced in the 100 fly, where he finished in a fantastic 5th place with a time of 58.44s. Later on in the competition, he competed in the 200 fly event where he won a silver medal with a time of 2:10.28. Both of his swims also won him new British Records in these events in his age group.

Worcestershire take back the Three County Gala Trophy
After loosing the trophy to Gloucestershire last year, the Worcester County team swam their hearts out yesterday in Wolverhampton. Ten swimmers from Redditch were selected to join Jon in the bid to win back the Three County Trophy.

As RSC celebrated 125years, it hosted and supported some Redditch First Schools in the first gala for several years. Moon's Moat were proud to meet the Chairman this afternoon and be supported by some of our amazing young adults. RSC are massively proud of the part you all played today, Thank you!
Spirits were high back at school and the afternoon was described as ''The best day ever''.

A terrific performance by all the swimmers who took part in today's final but when it came to it, Redditch took the lead and won the gala by 3 points. This puts Redditch at the top of the Winter League for the 2nd year running.

RSC celebrated the Queen's Jubilee at Beoley village hall. There was fun for all the family with Bouncy castle and slide, Adults v Children rounders and football, cricket, golf and plenty of picnic.
A huge thank you to all who supported our raffle and the event, despite the less than warm weather we all had a great time!
